CPAC Straw Poll
Over 10,000 attendees voted in a straw poll. With Glenn Beck up next, they announced the results of the vote. CPAC attendees had their credentials punched when they voted, so there is only one vote per person.
2,395 votes were cast and the results are as follows:
50 States participated plus Washington D.C.
48% of the voters were students.
80% said individual freedom and size of government were the most important thing. 5% more than last year.
98% disapproved of the job President Obama is doing
Top two issues –
52% Reducing size of Federal Government
33% Reducing spending
58% said cut spending
33% believe Republicans believe Republicans will gain 40 or more seats in the HOuse
